Job Description
We are seeking two CPA articling students to work closely with Burkett & Co.’s talented team commencing September 2023. This opportunity will provide interesting and relevant work experience toward the pursuit of a professional accounting designation. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to apply their accounting and tax knowledge to a wide range of corporate clients as well as personal and trust clients that face a variety of complex tax issues. Burkett & Co. has successfully employed articling students for the past several years and strives to ensure this position is a mutually beneficial experience. The successful candidate will work with all members of our team and actively participate in team meetings.

Key Responsibilities
• Preparation of Compilation and Review engagement working papers
• Preparation of corporate, individual and trust income tax returns
• Detailed analysis of revenue, expense, and investment transactions
• Other types of special engagements as necessary

Qualifications
• Eligible to enroll in the CPA program
• Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to work extended hours during March and April
