In the financial services business since 1981; formerly with Thorne Riddell; former Office Managing Partner and Director of Tax Services with Deloitte; founded Burkett & Co. in 2000; co-founded Burkett Asset Management Limited in 2014; co-founded Burkett Family Office Services in 2024.

Treasurer of The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria Foundation. Chairman of Cape Santa Maria Resort (Bahamas).

Former Chairman of Oak Bay Marine Group; Former Board Chair of the Victoria Foundation; Former Director of Pearson College of the Pacific Foundation and Trustee of Lester B.
